**SUMMARY**:
We are looking for either a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Cabinetmaker Apprentice to join our Cabinet Doors & More team, in the fast paced and challenging industry of cabinetry. This individual will be expected to have previous knowledge in the cabinetry industry. The level of knowledge will reflect what would be expected of an individual in the industry within the same stage of their apprenticeship. This individual will be working with may different types of machinery to produce the highest quality of cabinet doors and cabinet components, while following strict quality and shop safety standards. Cabinet Doors & More has been in the industry for over 20 years and manufactures a variety of products, including: wood and thermo plastic doors, dovetail drawer boxes, butcher block countertops, and much more

**SECOND YEAR QUALIFICATIONS AND** **KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- This individual will be expected to have intermediate knowledge and experience with table saws, thickness planers, jointers, clampers, and other machinery and tools covered during the First Year Period of their apprenticeship.
- This individual will be expected to interpret cutting lists for a shop project.
- This individual will be expected to have proficient knowledge with the Trade Math covered during the First Year Period of their apprenticeship.

**THIRD YEAR QUALIFICATIONS AND** **KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- This individual will be expected to have proficient knowledge and experience with table saws, thickness planers, jointers, and clampers.
- This individual will be expected to have intermediate knowledge and experience with profiling machines and auto feeding devices, as well as mortising and tenoning machines.
- This individual will be expected to have intermediate knowledge about hazards associated with wood finishing equipment, preparing wood for finishing, and finishing wood products.
- This individual will be expected to have intermediate knowledge for predicting material consumption and how to reduce material consumption.
- This individual will be expected to work with moderate guidance and supervision.

**FOURTH YEAR QUALIFICATIONS AND**KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- This individual will be expected to have proficient knowledge and experience with the majority of machinery used in the cabinetmaker trade.
- This individual will be expected to have proficient knowledge about hazards associated with wood finishing equipment, preparing wood for finishing, and finishing wood products.
- This individual will be expected to have proficient knowledge for predicting material consumption and how to reduce material consumption.
- This individual will be expected to work with little guidance and supervision, but will still be supervised by a certified journeyman.
- This individual will be expected to take on roles of leadership with a specific department.

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with abstract concepts.

**GENERAL** **KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- Self-sufficient: ability to work with moderate to mínimal guidance and instruction, depending on level of experience.
- Problem solving: ability to recognize a problem and take initiative to solve it.

- Motivation: motivated to learn and improve the organization, as well as motivated to improve one’s self.
- Ability to perform math associated with cabinetmaking and work with measurements.
- Physically fit, including the ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 60lb, repeatedly.
- Ability to keep work area clean, organized, and safe.

A successful applicant will have experience and knowledge associate with their level of skill in the cabinetry industry, a high motivation to learn new skills and work in a challenging environment, and the ability to work with others in a team effort.

Starting wages are between $15.00 to $19.00 hourly, depending on the applicant’s experience. We also offer Health Benefits to full-time employees.

**Salary**: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
