**Medical Receptionist**

We are currently seeking a **full-time Medical Receptionist **to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome patients to the practice
- Answer and direct phone calls to the correct person
- Schedule patient appointments and verify patient information
- Check patients in and out at the desk
- Maintain front office filing system to ensure smooth patient flow through the office
- Collect payments from patients using a cash drawer or credit card based on patient schedule
- Prepare and distribute bills according to patient schedule and procedure
- Follow up with patients on any questions or requests during their visit
- Check patients out at the end of each visit, as well as collect all payments from, including paperwork and insurance information
- Provide friendly, professional, courteous customer service to patients and their families upon arrival and departure
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

**Qualifications**:

- knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- Previous experience in a medical office environment is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Able to maintain composure under pressure of large volume of calls. Able to work effectively with children (preferably no more than 18 years old). English speaking ability is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- medical Clinic: 1 year (preferred)
