We also operate in the Aviation sector, where Babcock ensures that the aircrew trainees of our partner nations receive the world’s best flying training. We deliver vital aerial emergency services and are proud to have been selected by the Government of Manitoba to deliver their wildfire suppression services, as well as key components of their critical air ambulance services.

- In this role, you will: _
- Carry out testing, acceptance and maintenance activities for various Victoria Class Submarine systems and equipment
- Act as a Test Director and direct multi-disciplinary employees during the testing of submarine systems and equipment
- Conduct equipment trouble-shooting, fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance
- Be responsive to Commissioning Managers for dynamic program delivery requirements in a shipyard waterfront environment
- Identify risks and opportunities during the course of testing and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of experience as a testing or commissioning specialist
- Eligibility for designation as an AScT, CET or EIT
- A strong working knowledge of:
- Provincial safety regulations for Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Access
- Internal and external tank pressure testing is an asset, including large volume hydrostatic testing
- Material fitness inspections, lifting appliance certification and strength testing of fixed components such as eye plates, bollards, capstans desirable
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems as well as Chilled Water cooling systems and equipment Set to Work experience desirable
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems including pressurized storage cylinders
- Diesel engine familiarity
- Gas turbine familiarity
- Bulk liquid storage familiarity
- Marine, offshore oil and gas drilling or naval vessel experience would be a strong asset
- New construction commissioning or retro-commissioning is desirable
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
