**This position will cover a territory from Western Ottawa through to Belleville**_
The **Quality Assurance Specialist **is responsible to provide quality audits and environment health and safety audits for the Eastern Ontario region. This includes health and safety, field, and documentation audits in accordance to Promark-Telecon standards. The QA Specialist is also responsible for supporting field and Supervisor staff in their region.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Perform audits of locates per Promark protocols for quality, individual performance, near-miss and damage monitoring and response
- Perform health and safety inspections
- Perform damage investigations to determine root cause and corrective action
- Generate audit, inspection and investigation reports
- Monitoring to ensure that corrective actions and work method adjustments are carried out by Locators
- Deliver seasonal and ad hoc training to operations staff
- Provide locate technical assistance to Locators - on-site and remotely
- Investigation and response to Bell Canada locate (billing) rejects via Bell Canada CMS
- Vacation coverage for the Supervisor
- On-call coverage (24/7) for emergency locates - including performance of locates - as required
- Acts as a change agent by inspiring and driving core company values such as; health and safety, experts in our line of business, and promoting team work.
- Maintains effective communication with our partners, including customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Damage Prevention.
- Must have a full "G" license, as well as a good driver's abstract and available to travel across Ontario.
- Confined Space Entry training an asset.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
- Strong data analysis and the ability to translate data into conclusions.
- Excellent capacity to resolve operational issues.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.

- Utility Locating (Damage Prevention Technician) Industry: 5 years (required)
- MS Office and Outlook: 2 years (preferred)
