Production Manager

The Production Manager is a leader responsible for orchestrating and optimizing the manufacturing or production process to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality product delivery. This role requires strategic planning, resource management, and a commitment to continuous improvement in line with lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive production schedules and plans aligned with customer demand and company objectives.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and other departments to maintain a seamless flow of materials and resources throughout the production cycle.
- Efficiently manage and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize production efficiency and minimize costs.
- Monitor and control production costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement robust quality control measures to uphold product specifications and exceed customer expectations; take proactive measures to address quality issues and enhance overall product quality.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in production management, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Provide strong leadership to production teams, offering guidance, training, and support to foster a positive and collaborative work environment that enhances productivity and morale.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to coordinate activities and achieve overarching company objectives.
- Effectively communicate production updates, challenges, and achievements to relevant stakeholders, and prepare and present regular production reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Essential Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach to management.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and quality standards, ensuring compliance across all production processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Proven experience in production management or a related role, ideally with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as engineering, business, or operations management).

Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
