**Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to lead, organize, prepare and submit tenders and cost estimates, for a range of construction projects. This will include pulling projects, requesting quotes, completing take-offs, preparing tender documents, attending pre-tender meetings and reviewing tenders with the projects team.
**Job Duties Responsibilities**:
- Prepare detailed and organized estimates for project quotes and construction projects.
- Analyze plans, prepare take-offs, and request material quotes.
- Analyze specifications, brief the project team and incorporate into the tender.
- Prepare quotes and tender documents.
- Work with the project management team or directly with the customer to fully understand project requirements and needs.
- Attend tender meetings, meet with clients, and deliver tenders.
- Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers for pricing options and ensure competitive bids for the project.
- Stay updated with industry trends and construction practices to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
**Job Requirements**:
- 2+ years experience as a construction Estimator, Project Coordinator/Manager or equivalent role
- Post secondary education in Construction Management or an Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) Program is an asset
- Experience in civil construction disciplines is an asset.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and strong drafting, modelling, and graphic skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Collaborative and adaptable team player, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible hours; evenings may be required during bid closing.
