**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Duties generally expected of an Early Childhood Educator and other duties as directed by the Employer.

1. Ensure the program meets all requirements of the Child Care Licensing Regulations daily.

2. Early childhood educators are responsible for planning and implementing a program providing children with developmentally appropriate, safe and healthy environment.

3. Building a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for children

4. Prepare activity documentation to support childcare learning

5. Ensure guidance of children that encourages positive self-esteem.

6. Ensure positive communications with parents/guardians and contribute to the on-going operation of the Centre.

7. Facilitate a respectful conflict resolution process when dealing with difficult staff and parent/guardian issues.

8. Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment in all activity and program areas.

9. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the Centre, staff, children, and their families.

10. Encourage potty training and/or change diapers when needed.

11. Supervising while children are eating and bottle feeding

12. Ensure that children are always safe and recognize children who are potentially at risk and take appropriate action.

13. Perform other related duties as required.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
