The incumbent delivers high-quality guidance and support to all clients, playing a key role in providing support with student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and success. The incumbent will be student-focused and committed to continuous process improvements to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include maintaining strong customer relationships by addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally. Specific duties involve a range of registration tasks, academic program support functions, financial assistance and awards, and providing general information about college programs and admission requirements. The position may involve handling confidential student records and information.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Supports students through Switchboard, Contact Centre, Welcome Desk and the Service Counter.
- Provide a range of general Registration, Admissions and Financial Assistance specific to and appropriate for post-secondary, continuing education, and apprenticeship programs.
- Facilitates and supports campus tours to applicants, potential applicants and the general public.
- Review, assign and complete OCAS tickets as required.
- Provide front-line service to applicants and students, in-person, and over the phone, as it pertains to Mohawk’s portfolio of programs and services. Including reception duties, maintaining resources, demonstrating assessments, and completing intake forms.
- Data Tracking & Reporting - collecting, tracking and reporting all client interactions, tour bookings, creating events, college information sessions, attendance dates and assisting the team.
- Accepts and processes payments for tuition fees and/or ancillary services.
- Completes Banner reports daily, reconciles cash and prepares deposits for the accounting department.
- As a member of the Registrar’s Office, the incumbent will be required to support key activities such as Open House, Welcome Week and Convocation.
Other duties as assigned.
**What you’ll bring to the role**:
- ** **2 year diploma or certificate in Office or Business Administration or equivalent combination of similar education and experience
- A minimum of two years of practical experience, in a service-oriented environment within an educational setting; primarily related to supporting applicants, students and staff, as well as an understanding of college services and corporate information systems. Experience with banner is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Additional training related to Banner, Milennium, FastSuite, Core Cashiering, MyMohawk, Q-Nomy
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
- The ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse students, employees, and communities.
