**Group Division**:
**VeriForm** is viewed as a leader in metal fabrication of complex parts and assemblies. This includes comprehensive design, build and assembly while working very closely with clients. It is the first division to do hand held quality control laser scanning for inspection, replacing CMM systems. And where laser welding is replacing TIG welding, creating faster, cooler welds without distortion and much smaller HAZ.
**JOB POSITION: Plasma Table Operator**
Set-up, operate and monitor the CNC Plasma / Laser Cutting Machine. Ensure the manufacturing process and material used meets customer specifications and quality standards. Ensure the equipment and process runs efficiently.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure all parts comply with the blueprint specifications and quality standards. Parts that are out of specification or damaged are to be segregated and quality assurance notified for disposition.
- Set up CNC Plasma or Laser Cutting Machine with pre-existing programs.
- Use the required gauge metal for the job as per the traveller.
- Transport raw materials and completed parts safely by using manual hoist and or other lifting devices required to safely transport the parts.
- Ensure all parts comply with print specifications and Quality Standards. Parts that do not meet Quality Specifications are to be segregated and quality personnel notified.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the fabrication sequence being performed and the steps involved in the process to completion.
- Inspect and deburr parts prior to next process as per the traveler.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & safety Regulations and Organizational Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Key Qualification/Requirements**:(Educational Requirements, equip requirements, software skills or programs)
- Grade twelve education or equivalent, with basic reading, writing, and some advanced mathematic skills
- Knowledge and experience in CNC systems and laser cutting machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of materials being cut and how they react i.e. Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- manufacturing or fabrication industry: 2 years (preferred)
- Plasma cutting: 1 year (preferred)
