Hamilton, Canada Parkside Daycare Full time

Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational and developmental activities for children.
- Provide care and supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
- Assist with creating and maintaining a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Assist with observing and documenting children's progress and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.

**Requirements**:

- Preferred Completed ECE Diploma and good standing with the College of ECEs
- Happy to train for an Assistant position or support you on your apprenticeship journey.
- Previous experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to engage and interact positively with children of various ages.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills to assist in maintaining a well-run classroom environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Hiring date: Immediate

Looking for a 6 Month contract, with high potential for full time permanent

Qualifications:
Individual must also have or be willing to obtain the following:
First aid/CPR Level C
Updated criminal reference check
Up to date immunization

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON L8B 0Y7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
