Part-time Barista

**Barista / General Helper**

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**:

- $16.75 per hour

Schedule: 20 hours per week. Schedule may vary between:

- Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm.
- Saturdays from 9:00 to 4:00pm

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide exemplary service to all patrons of the cafe and ensure excellent product quality at all times.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

- A hands-on role, responsible for preparing on-site sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, smoothies and/or serving pre-made snacks, sweet bread and pastries.
- Coordinates all food requisitions for seasonal menues
- Creates menus for specific client requests and online delivery apps
- Engages with guests, as well as team members to ensure exceptional hospitality
- Taking orders, making product recommendations to customers and processing transactions
- Communicating special requirements to the owner/manager
- Organizing stock
- Preparing and serving specialty coffee drinks including espresso-based beverages in line with Café’s standards
- General product knowledge as it relates to recipe ingredients and potential allergens
- Dialing-in and tasting espresso and coffees to ensure product quality
- Assisting with newer staff and helping to train on in-cafe routines
- General cleaning duties as needed

Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $16.75 per hour

- Weekend availability
