The Labour Market Development Division strives to enable all British Columbians to reach their full potential by advancing innovative workforce policies, programs, and labour market information, including providing skills training opportunities across the province.

The Program Communications and Stakeholder Engagement unit, within the Skills Training and Supports team is responsible for branch communications, including grant program promotion, engagement planning, developing executive communications materials, maintaining program webpages and responding to a variety of information requests.

The Stakeholder Relations Coordinator is responsible for streamlining communication and maintaining collaborative relations and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services to clients. The position plays a crucial role in communicating program goals, objectives, policy, procedures, and results to internal and external stakeholders, and responding to stakeholder queries.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years recent (within the last five years) experience in communications, public relations, journalism or media relations in a large organization, including:

- Drafting and editing executive communication materials (e.g. speaking notes, briefing notes, presentations).
- Managing and responding to written inquiries or complaints or concerns from stakeholders.
- Communicating with senior executives, public and a wide cross section of stakeholders.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Experience writing and editing website content.
- Experience using Drupal CMS or similar platform for website content and design updates.
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop or similar graphic design tools.
- Experience with communications and public engagement policies and procedures.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing and responding to inquiries, complaints, and/or concerns from stakeholders within a federal, provincial, or municipal government role.
