Dear Born Baby & Kids (DBBK) is a well-established baby store, located in the heart of North Toronto (neighbourhood known as Thornhill). We are a 22,000sq ft boutique style store providing a well curated selection of all the latest baby / toddler products on the Canadian market. Over the past 12 months, we have integrated new end-to-end systems in order to support our growth plans for 2024 and beyond. With growth and development being the push forward, we are growing our team and looking for enthusiastically driven individuals to join us in the role of Junior buyer. **Overall purpose of the role**

The DBBK junior buyer is expected to maintain optimal stock levels. This individual will place daily orders for stock replenishment, as well as liaison with the brands / distributors to support the entry of new items onto the market. You would be expected to work closely with the marketing team to ensure all information is provided in order for them to prepare product launches and sales. Slow moving inventory is expected to be reduced and cleared as well as any new concepts introduced to the upper management team. Here are the skills / duties needed.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of experience in retail buying, preferably in the juvenile Industry (not a must)
- Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is preferred
- Able to generate purchase orders as well as portal orders and ensure accuracy of information
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiating skill in order to negotiate prices and terms
- Detail
- oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to collaborate with other team members
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders or deliveries
- Able to be with the team daily (this is not a remote / hybrid position)

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
