**Job Description** Bellperson**
First impressions are everything Your engaging smile and personality are the essence of a great Bellperson with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As you personally greet our Guests and assist them throughout the day, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of "Turning moments into memories for our guests".

**Pay Rate**:
$16.75 per hour

**What you will be doing**:
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Meet and greet guests, helping them with their luggage upon arrival and departure
- Provide parking options and safely park any valet vehicles
- Share knowledge of all hotel related information including; hours of operation, promotions, menu selection, meeting facilities, guest room and rate structuring and current availability
- Share knowledge of all guest related activities and events within the hotel and through outside agencies, such as activities, theatre, transportation, recreation and current events
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications** Your skills and experience include**:

- Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean abstract is required
- Class 4 BC Driver's License is an asset, but not required
- Ability to drive manual is required
- Previous experience in a Guest Service capacity is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Knowledge of Whistler area is an asset.

**Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following**:

- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
