**Site Manager**

**Location: Fort McMurray, AB**

Diversified Transportation is seeking an experienced Manager to join our team in Fort McMurray for our contract at Fort Hills. Reporting directly to the Account Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of dedicated professional drivers and directing a team of field operations and safety managers. Relationship management will be a key success factor as you deal with day-to-day issues with our key clients and operators and embody the values of operational excellence and team leadership. Regular interaction with union representatives should be expected as well as involvement in any performance and disciplinary issues that may arise, including thorough incident investigations. **The shift is a 7 on / 7 off rotation. Flights and camp accommodations are provided.**

**Position Description**:

- Meet drivers on a daily basis and assess if they are fit for duty while addressing any concerns
- Responsible for all transportation on-and-off site related to the Fort Hills project
- Act as the on-site lead for labour relations and employee performance management
- Work with the Account Manager to maintain and improve our operations at Fort Hills and related transportation
- Work with other managers and lead hands on site as well as their cross-shift to deliver world class service to the client
- Communicate effectively with customers, operations, maintenance, safety, training and the union in order to perform activities in the best possible manner
- Ensure proper resources exist to support the budgeted workload and develop contingency plans necessary to accommodate peak capacity requirements
- Regular interaction with union representatives should be expected as well as involvement in any grievance, performance, and disciplinary issues that may arise
- 2-5 years of experience in the transportation industry
- 2-5 years of previous management experience, preferably in the transportation/logistics industry
- A post-secondary education in a management-related field is an asset
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with a culturally diverse, unionized work environment is an asset
