Airport Security Guard
- Construction Escorts are specialized professionals who receive extensive training to protect contractors and the public, while demonstrating vigilance and excellent customer service in a dynamic airport environment.
Our Security Guards undergo rigorous specialized training, so it is not essential to have previous security experience or licenses, but you will require great communication skills and customer service experience. We are recruiting **Airport Security Guard
- Construction Escorts** for future career opportunities at the **Edmonton International Airport.**
**What does a Security Guard Escort do?**
- Maintain the security requirements of escorting and monitoring contractors
- To facilitate airside escorting requirements during construction season
- Maintaining the equipment on site including vehicles and radios
- Driving in specific areas in the restricted area
- Communication to runway tower

**Career Requirements**:
- One (1) year of customer service experience
- Security experience or license is **NOT **required
- Our security guards must be able to obtain a Transportation Canada Security Clearance (RAIC) and Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit prior to successfully completing an extensive training program
- Those who possess a valid RAIC will be considered an asset
- Must be a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident
- Must have a full class 5 drivers license
- Must be able to provide a clean driver's abstract.
- Driving experience is considered an asset.
- Criminal Record Check Required
- Over 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Available to work and commute any scheduled shifts in a 24/7 operation including weekends and public holidays. Must be able to work up to 14 hours.
**Skill Requirements**:
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
- Strong written communication and report writing skills
- Strong teamwork abilities and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert while multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable undertaking training and operating in a rapidly changing, high tech setting
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
