- The Speech-Language Pathologist is concerned with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders of adults; and often works as part of a team with other professionals to provide consultative and direct treatment services to the inpatient and outpatient populations. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for counselling of clients and families, as well as for appropriate referrals to other professionals or services._

- **SALARY**:_ _$43.37 to $56.22 per hour_**QUALIFICATIONS**:_
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology_
- A member of good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)_
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification_
- **EXPERIENCE**:_
- Clinical expertise and experience in stroke rehabilitation and demonstrated knowledge of current stroke rehabilitation best practices including management of dysphagia._
- Experience in both clinical and video fluoroscopic assessment of swallowing_
- Experience with inpatient service delivery is an asset._
- Experience with critical care patients is an asset._
- **ABILITIES**:_
- Demonstrated ability to practice effectively in an interprofessional collaborative environment._
- Working knowledge of and experience with theories and principles guiding adult learning and patient self-management approaches._
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, problem-solving and innovation skills._
- Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative._
- Evidence of continued professional growth and/or professional development_
- Appreciation of resource utilization._
- Computer skills, particularly Meditech, MS Office, and/or other software_
- A valid Ontario driver’s license_
