We are a boutique accounting firm on the west end of Edmonton. We provide a hands-on approach to adding value for our clients through advisory services in addition to regular year end services. We care deeply about our clients and work closely with them throughout the year to address challenges and issues to ensure the clients can focus on their business while we assist with the accounting work. Our firm provides a range of services including bookkeeping, accounting services, tax compliance, and business advisory services.

We are seeking an experienced accounting manager to join our team on a part time basis that could lead to full time if desired. We offer a flexible work schedule. We have a small team that works together to ensure we provide exceptional service in a timely manner for our clients.

The position we are seeking to fill will be responsible for:

- Reviewing NTR, Review Engagement and personal tax returns
- Managing recurring deadlines ensuring filings are completed on-time (i.e, GST, payroll)
- Manage workflow and assist accounting technicians with file work
- Review financial statements
- Review corporate tax returns
- Review Personal tax returns
- Preparing reports, letters and other deliverables
- May require some file work throughout the year

Qualifications:

- CPA Designation or equivalent work experience.
- We work in a paperless office so computing skills and an inherent knowledge of technology is a requirement.
- Must have experience with Caseware, Profile, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel software.
- Are an effective communicator
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to adapt to urgent matters that may arise
- Excel at written and oral communication skills
- Can work efficiently and independently
- Have a keen eye for details
- Enjoy taking the time to get to know our clients

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
