**Role and responsibilities**:
We are seeking a motivated individual with a great focus on quality who shares our passion for the industry and takes pride in providing exceptional service to clients, to join our growing team as a **Municipal Infrastructure Site Inspector **for water and wastewater infrastructure related projects around the GTA. This is a one (1) year contract position with the potential for extension.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee construction works on municipal infrastructure projects to ensure conformance with approved drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Document daily site activities via daily progress reports and photos.
- Provide problem resolution in the field when unexpected conditions arise, or complaints are received, and communicate all issues to the project team.
- Coordinate specialty inspections and materials testing, as necessary.
- Be courteous and professional keeping project objectives and progress in mind.
- Identify and document any deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and any permit and approval requirements.
- Coordinate and complete as-constructed drawings.
- Liaise with various project stakeholders, as required.
- May need to work outside of normal work hours occasionally.

**Qualifications**:

- A graduate of a post secondary program in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technologist / Technician or equivalent.
- OACETT designation as a Road Construction Junior Inspector (RCJI) is an asset.
- 3-5 years of previous construction inspection experience on municipal infrastructure projects involving water/wastewater infrastructure preferred.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS) for municipal projects, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong communicator, able to effectively get the point across in both verbal and written formats.
- Client focused and quality minded with a passion for providing exceptional services to clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive relationships with team members and clients.
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- A motivated and dedicated self starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and passion for the industry.
