PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Responsible for administrative duties involved in the procurement of all raw materials, shop supplies and facility services.
- Responsible for R.F.Q.’s - new products and cost reduction program.
- Assist in evaluation of quotations on the basis of price, quality, delivery and adherence to engineering specifications.
- Ascertain areas and products where savings can be achieved.
- Review/enter data for potential adjustment of safety stocks to maintain sales activity and meet inventory budgetary requirements.
- Update and maintain System Price List and Supplier Master files.
- Assist with the management of supply chain re: materials and logistics.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Planning internal departments as required.
- Liaise with required plants external suppliers.
- Interact with vendors to maintain Kanban programs.
- QA issue follow up with non-conformance and corrective actions.
- Liaise with Receiving department to resolve discrepancies.
- CIOS program.
- Responsible for Purchasing document control including filing.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.

EDUCATION:

- Post-secondary education; University Degree required in Business Management or Supply Chain or equivalent in experience.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Minimum of three - five years of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience with ERP systems; experience with QAD preferred.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office or equivalent. Working knowledge of mainframe system.
- Customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Previous experience with ISO and Internal Auditor functions is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Works in an office environment.
- Ability to move throughout the warehouse and office areas.
- May have some exposure to the warehouse.
- Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving within the work area.
- Must be able to manipulate equipment used in performance of tasks.
- Other demands include but not limited to oral, written, and presentation/communications skills.
