Do you have a passion for plants? Alternative Garden Centre is looking for positive, hardworking, energetic, and reliable people who are passionate about plant care to sell, grow, and maintain top-quality trees, shrubs, and perennials in our retail nursery.

**About the job**:

- Customer service and sales of all nursery product
- General plant maintenance such as watering, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning
- Prepare and maintain orders for landscape installation
- Water and tend to plant material
- Receiving and moving plants / assisting in loading and unloading plants

**About you**:

- Responsible with excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team and independently
- Quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow direction
- Organized and detail oriented
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Education and/or experience in horticulture or a related field is an asset
- Work in all weather conditions, hot sun, rain, and cold fall weather
- Fitness: A variety of tasks require workers to stay in one position over long periods of time: standing, kneeling, sitting. Able to safely lift 40lbs on occasion and participate in construction projects.
- During our peak season, we’re open 7 days a week; team members are required to be available to all shifts including, evenings, weekends, and holidays
