**Restorative Aide**

The Pines is located in Bracebridge, Ontario and is owned and operated by the District Municipality of

The Pines has been serving seniors with care and dignity in our community since September 1961. Our cozy
and comfortable home encompasses five resident home areas (one secure) and has four wonderful courtyards

**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Activities Manager, the Restorative Aide implements restorative programs to assist and
support residents to restore, maintain or improve activities of daily living and psychosocial/mental functioning.
**What You Will Do**:
- Implement and assist in evaluating both
individual and group restorative programs
based on assessed needs of individual
residents as assigned by the Manager and
Registered Staff
- Transport residents to and from programs
- Assist with feeding residents during
mealtimes
- Monitor the behavior and condition of
residents during restorative programs,
reporting any significant changes to the
Manager and registered staff as appropriate
**What You Will Need**:
- Graduate of a two (2) year college program
in Kinesiology, Gerontology or related
program
- Completion of Restorative Care Certificate
(3 day course)
- Previous experience working with seniors in
restorative programs, preferably in LTC,
would be an asset plus on-the-job
orientation and training of up to 1 month
- Completed police record check, including
vulnerable sector screening
