The Royal Canadian Yacht Club was founded in Toronto in 1852 to serve both as a recreational yachting club and an unofficial auxiliary of the Royal Navy in defense of the waters of Lake Ontario. We are one of Canada's premier sailing and social clubs, with an emphasis on family participation, the development of our junior sailors, and a Corinthian attitude towards excellence in sailing. The RCYC operates year-round from two facilities: our summer home at the Island Clubhouse and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto. With over 4700 Members we have extensive services in Food and Beverage along with Fitness, Sports and Sailing facilities.

The Pro Shop/ Chandlery Sales Associate is responsible for providing sales and customer service to Members and Guests relating to apparel and sports equipment. This individual will have excellent customer service skills and be able to assist the Pro Shop Supervisor as directed.

**Hours of Work**
- This position is seasonal from May to September.
- Must be available Monday to Sunday (Week days, Weekends, Holidays)
- Hours of operation are 8am - 8pm

**Wage**:
$18.00 per hour plus a Meal each shift

**Job Duties**
- Answer incoming calls to the Pro Shop
- Assist with the stocking of merchandise and help do monthly inventory counts
- Perform administrative work as necessary
- Process customer returns and exchanges
- Perform opening and closing duties of Pro Shop
- Help with court bookings and sign out sports equipment when needed
- Summer season only: pump fuel for Guests and Member boats while working in the Island shop.
- Sign out bikes, stand up paddle boards, and canoes

**Requirements**:

- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Punctual and good time management skills
- Energetic and flexible, able to work well under pressure
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Knowledge of sailing is not mandatory but considered an asset
- Ability to lift, bend, and stoop
