**Responsibilities**:

- **CNC Saw Machine Operation**:

- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC saw machines to cut materials to the specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure precision and consistency during operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
- **Material Handling and Selection**:

- Interpret engineering drawings to identify the required material specifications, including type, size, and properties.
- Select and differentiate materials based on characteristics such as:
- **Metals**: Grades of stainless steel, steel, and aluminum.
- **Plastics**: visual or physical properties.
- Ensure material selection aligns with the specifications detailed in the engineering drawings.
- Safely load and unload materials onto the machine using proper tools and equipment.
- **Cutting Operations Using Drawings**:

- Use engineering drawings to determine cut dimensions, angles, and tolerances.
- Program or adjust CNC saw settings based on drawing requirements.
- Verify the accuracy of cuts against the engineering drawings and job specifications.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
- Measure and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Document and report any discrepancies, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow company safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Handle sharp blades, heavy materials, and equipment safely, following established procedures.
- **Machine Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance, such as blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning, to ensure the saw operates at optimal performance.
- Record maintenance activities and report issues that require advanced repair.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of completed jobs, including material usage, production times, and any quality issues.
- Communicate progress and any challenges to supervisors and team members.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with production leads and planners to ensure job priorities and schedules are met.
- Provide feedback on material performance and machine efficiency to support production planning.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience operating CNC saw machines or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with a variety of materials, including stainless steel, steel, aluminum, and plastics, with an ability to differentiate plastics by color and other properties.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in material handling and machine operation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
