2 YEAR CONTRACT POSITION

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is located in Northeastern Ontario and serves approximately 6,000 students in 18 schools located in Greater Sudbury, as well as in Markstay and Killarney. Greater Sudbury is 3,627 square kilometers in area, making it the geographically largest municipality in Ontario and second largest in Canada.

Our School Board is host to and celebrates diverse cultures and is comprised of dedicated staff committed to high quality education that inspires and promotes lifelong learning. The Board is currently seeking a temporary Facility Services Clerk to join our dynamic team.

The Facilities Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the management and supervisory staff of the Facilities Services Department. The Facilities Clerk demonstrates strong internal and external customer service skills and a high level of knowledge relating to the organization of the department and its processes.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

**Education / Certification**:
One (1) - year community college diploma in a related field

**Experience Required**:
Two (2) years of recent related experience in a Facilities or similar environment

**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities**:
Excellent interpersonal skills

Extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures including records management

Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and relate to people tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, high volume environment

Ability to work independently and within a cohesive team environment

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Self-starter with the ability to work under mínimal supervision

Ability to research and assemble data for the preparation of correspondence and reports

Excellent discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to provide regular attendance

Ability to actively listen and respond to the needs of the end user through consultation and to express a clear understanding of the requirement in user-friendly language

Strong written and oral communication skills

Basic knowledge of software licensing and copyright concepts and regulations

Always maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate and timely information while managing multiple conflicting deadlines.

Please note that the conditions of employment include an acceptable Police Record Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as the certificate of completion for the Ministry of Labour Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps Training (available on-line).

The annual salary range for this position is $51,623 to $64,527.
