A farmers market meets the internet for convenient year-round shopping at the Cow-op. We are a non-profit farmer and food processor co-operative with an online marketplace of locally grown and harvested food, featuring a variety of produce, meats, eggs, fruit, baking and more all grown or produced throughout the Cowichan Region. This is a convenient system for food producers and customers alike, as the farmers save time and buyers are able to shop from their computer year-round while directly supporting local family farms and businesses.

**Job description**

This position is suited for someone with a positive attitude who is comfortable multi-tasking and problem solving. A mobile phone is required.

Responsibilities includes on-site warehouse work 3 days per week (Tues - Thurs), facilitation of one of our customer pickup points, and marketing. Warehouse work includes receiving products from co-operative members, packing orders and working with our online Marketplace Software, Local Food Marketplace. Marketing duties includes working with our Marketing Task Force on Mondays to develop social media content and in-person marketing initiatives. Other marketing duties could include in-person events and distribution of marketing materials.

This is a full-time role at 30hrs/week.

On-site activities will include assisting with the warehouse flow: organizing, accepting, sorting and packing order items; sanitizing order and delivery totes, preparing orders for delivery.

**The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. You must be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.

Contract length: 9 weeks
