**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plans and executes an annual program of activities designed to bridge academic learning and industry practices, including a curated lecture series, interactive workshops, panel discussions with industry leaders, and public exhibits showcasing student work.
- Organizes a thematic lecture series featuring renowned designers and thought leaders to inspire students and faculty.
- Builds and maintains relationships with design professionals, firms, and associations to support school programming and student career opportunities.
- Actively represents the school at industry events and conferences to foster partnerships and promote student work.
- Coordinates the end-of-year graduate showcase, highlighting the final projects of graduating students.
- Manages all aspects of the showcase planning, including venue selection, setup, scheduling, and promotion to ensure a professional and engaging presentation.
- Assists in the coordination of Orientation and Open House activities.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for students regarding industry engagement opportunities.
- Manages budgets for all planned activities and ensures compliance with financial practices.
- Tracks and reports on the effectiveness of programs in enhancing student learning and professional preparation.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Advanced diploma in Design, and/or Postgraduate Certificate in Design from a recognized post-secondary institute.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a coordinator, within a design education role.

**Skills and Attributes:
- Established network in the design industry and proven ability to build and maintain relationships as evidenced by references.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Solid communication skills and proficient in engaging with a diverse audience.
- Passion for advancing design education and nurturing the next generation of designers.
- Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
- Able to travel between campuses and to industry sites.
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.
