We’re on the hunt for an **Operations Analyst** on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

**Role**:
The Operations Analyst is responsible for providing ongoing analysis support to Operations management team as required by coordinating special projects and compiling statistical analysis and reports for decision making in the context of overall Business Process Improvement. Although the role has limited decision-making responsibility, it has the greatest ability to influence the reporting and process improvement aspects in this team. Advising and recommending a course of action will be an essential part of the role.

**Tasks**:

- Operations Analytics
- Develop, report, and analyze operational metrics, with critical trend analytics to allow leadership to make informed decisions.
- Develop and maintain tools, spreadsheets, and reports for capturing and reporting data.
- Assists line managers on requests for information from business development teams and/or active programs.
- Model data for analysis on labor, overhead, and material costs.
- Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data.
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements.
- Support business development teams and/or active programs with the preparation of Non-Labor reports.
- Process Improvement
- Coordinate business improvement special projects.
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects.
- Labor Forecasting
- Develop and maintain forecasting models, as required for all relevant skill codes.
- Distribute labor reports in accordance to the monthly financial cycle.
- Provide monthly reports, analysis of resource data along with recommendations related to supply and demand by skill type, in order to ensure that projected staffing plans anticipate the needs of the business.
- Capital Planning
- Provide ongoing support for the operations capital planning and budgeting activities for the annual business plan. This involves coordination of line management and program inputs as well as with finance in order to support capital budgeting decisions in an effective manner.
- Provide Capex summary inputs to All-Hands presentation (status, recent investments).
- Overhead Accounts
- Provide support to the Operations management team in forecasting and controlling overhead accounts in various line departments.
- Provide analysis on expenditures vs budgets and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain labour utilization analysis tools and metrics, as required for all relevant overhead accounts.
- Coordinate, maintain and host various inter-departmental meetings, presentations and reports.
- Any other related tasks.
- Must exercise a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy when handling reports of a sensitive and confidential nature.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Operations Management
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
- Skills with ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Desire to initiate actio
