Logistics Supervisor

Lead the Logistics department, oversee all logistics functions and provide quality support to business
- Managing and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments
- Manages problems with late or missing shipments.
- Facilitate Importing/Exporting Samples
- Answering and investigating any import or export questions/needs.
- In charge of Freight Rate Inquiries and negotiation. Review freight/importing invoices, analyze freight to determine if there are problematize/costly lanes and customers causing high cost
- Contacting truckers to get rates & to dispatch pick-ups and deliveries in the US and within Canada
- Work with Customs Broker when needed
- Follow-up on any dispute storage and demurrage charges
- Liaison with third warehouse to provide inbound and outbound details, appointments, hold instructions. Coordinate with transfers East/West between warehouses
- Planning shipments including creating and updating shipping schedules
- Purchase orders and Sales orders preparation
- Acting as a point of contact for customers and carriers, communicate shipping status to customers timely, Interact with internal and external contacts and maintain excellent customer relationship
- Deal with damage, shortage, customer deduction, investigate involved parties and process claims
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

- Previous logistics and transportation experience is required with a minimum of 5 years.
- Experience in supervisory role is required
- Supply chain and logistics education an asset
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and ERP system, preferable Sage ACCPAC
- Thrives under pressure
- Mandarin speaking may be required for the job
