**Position Summary**:
The social worker will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides support, programs and services to families throughout Cumberland County. Among the duties/role of the social worker are the following:

- Short term counseling with families and individuals
- Coaching/mentoring in areas such as parenting, life skills, personal development
- Navigation/Coordination - link families with other supports and services as needed
- Group facilitation and workshop planning
- Youth engagement programming
- Family support and advocacy

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Social Work
- Registration (or eligibility) with the N.S. College of Social Workers
- Ability to work competently and cooperatively in a non-judgmental manner with families, co-workers and other community agencies
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to meet challenges and adapt to changing situations
- Knowledge/experience in assessment and planning with individuals and families
- Knowledge of community development and collaboration
- Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and eligible 2 million liability insurance with rider clause.

Work Remotely
- Mostly in-person, some work from home available

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: $48,558.00-$55,721.00 per year
