Industrial Painter

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Has previously worked with Electrostatic / Air Assisted Airless Painting.
- Mix and thins paint when required.
- Demonstrates safety habits and has general safety knowledge.

Some examples of safety topics: WHMIS 2015, Lockout Tagout, Aerial Work Platforms, Forklift training. (Forklift certified is nice to have, M&G will recertify if your training is expired, or certify those who have not used a forklift).
- Willing to keep face shaved for respirators or willing to wear a protective suit.
- Safely handles all painting material / chemicals.
- Uses Overhead Crane appropriately, (willing to train).
- Communicates with shop lead hands or shop manager about progress and or any problems.
- Uses general organization to help keep the paint booth in order.
- Monitors progress on each project and corrects any blisters or streaks.
- Assists in prepping steel for painting, this includes using a wire wheel on the steel to ensure rust and other dirt is removed.
- Cleans and maintains all paint equipment and booth.
- Uses forklift to assist moving projects in the shop to ensure adequate walking space.
- Other duties may be assigned.

**Requirements & Experience**
- 1 Year minimum experience required.
- Has previously used or willing to learn the conventional pot gun.
- Verbally communicates amongst work peers, while mainly working independently in our open-booth, indoor paint booth.
- Obtained a G License with vehicle access, we do not have public transportation within a reasonable vicinity.

This role has a unique learning opportunity for welding, if this is something you may want to learn, you can certainly do so in the shop. We are a CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certified shop and constantly upkeep our skills.

**Work Schedule Requirements**

Monday to Thursday - 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday’s 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. (44 Hours)

**Salary**: $20.80-$38.30 per hour
