**River Heights Child Care** is a 52 space Reggio-Inspired Montessori centre. We care for infants and preschoolers in a beautiful, fun environment.

We are seeking an energetic Child Care Assistant who is passionate about working with children and is not afraid to be silly The Child Care Assistant will work closely with the Master Educators to provide exceptional early learning programming.

**Child Care Assistant Job Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for care and supervision of children;
- Accept guidance and coaching in following best practice in early learning and child care, public health and safety practices;
- Collaborate with colleagues and management in a professional and productive manner on a regular basis;
- Work closely with the Preschool Room Master Educators
- Communicate with families in person and through completing daily e-reports;
- Housekeeping duties, sanitizing of toys and materials, laundry, etc.
- Preparation of snacks/lunches, nap cots, etc.
- Diapering/toileting
- Daily outdoor play and supervision.

**Positions Available: 1**
**Child Care Assistant - 40 hours/week**
- Successful completion of approved 40 hour course - Intro to Early Learning & Child Care within the first year of employment (or equivalent)
- Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C
- Using tablets, smart software and Microsoft Word;
- Singing out loud, being silly and having fun with children;
- Playing outdoors in all types of weather (and getting dirty)
- Being a storyteller - recording and displaying dialogue/observations of children in order to make learning visible (exceptional written and oral English skills are essential);
- Being a forward-thinker and collaborator with other educators and management, sharing ideas and being open to ideas from others;
- Dropping all plans to follow the children’s lead, or immediate needs.
