**Compliance Co-op (4 or 8 months)**

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to assist Community Services in the area of compliance from May to December 2024. Reporting to the Manager of Compliance, the individual will be part of the team responsible for the administration of the Towns compliance programs for the water, wastewater and stormwater divisions (operations).

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist with the creation and implementation of audit programs, plans, policies, procedures, and systems necessary to comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal legislated requirements for water, wastewater and stormwater operations.
- Assist with records management.
- Update and maintain various databases.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and training materials to deliver to operational staff.
- Assist with public education and outreach initiatives developed/facilitated/maintained by the Compliance Division relating to water, wastewater and stormwater.
- Conduct fieldwork, collect data and perform onsite inspections at various sites within operations including inspections of stormwater management components and compile and enter data for reporting.
- Complete and assist with other related duties as assigned within the Compliance Division.

**Competencies & Qualifications**:

- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary Environmental Technology program (or equivalent)
- Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies, and the public.
- Own or willing to purchase safety footwear as a pre-condition of employment.
- Able to submit a successful Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check as a pre-condition of employment.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.18 (2024 rates) per hour.
