**Electromechanical Technician (Pumps)**

**Aquatech** **Dewatering **is a specialized supplier of portable industrial pumping equipment and systems, including groundwater control (dewatering) pumps, trash pumps, wastewater (sewer bypass) pumps, and high pressure pumps.

The **Electromechanical Technician (Pumps)** is a member of the Dewatering Team who will service and maintain **AQUATECH's** pumping and power generated equipment in our Ottawa branch or at the customer's job site. Health and Safety is a major responsibility of this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular maintenance on electric motor driven pumping equipment, generators, control panels, timers and accessories.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs of all pumping equipment, generators, control panels, timers and accessories under a work order system.
- Respond to service calls as required, inclusive of after-hour and weekend emergencies.
- Keep all equipment and vehicle fleet in good working order, in accordance with manufacturers spec, and in presentable condition as per SOPs.
- Wash and clean pumping equipment upon return or arrival to the yard.
- Perform tasks through document management system, inclusive of; work orders, service reports, check lists, and equipment manuals.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Operate company trucks in a safe and efficient manner and perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency response on-call schedule.
- This position may entail travel to remote sites within Ontario to ensure efficient and proper functioning of equipment through regular service or repair, and
- Act in accordance to Aquatech's Health and Safety Management System

**Qualifications and Required Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years experience with similar equipment strongly preferred
- New Graduates of related trade schools welcome to apply
- Electrical and instrumentation knowledge a very strong asset
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Strong reading, mathematical and computer skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and daily
- Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid Class G Driver’s License in good standing
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Ability to be on call and work out of town
- Must have a valid Canadian Passport with no restrictions on travel

**Salary**: $29.00-$40.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Millwright: 2 years (preferred)
