Yard Worker

**Responsibilities**
- Loading trucks/trailers, bundling gear, operating forklifts, helping to organize shipments
- yard/warehouse maintenance and cleaning
- counting and verifying delivery/return tickets, assisting with inventory counts, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Organize, arrange, and verify materials for required shipments
- Unload and verify counts for shipments received
- Ability to identify and report promptly to supervisor; and discrepancies, shortages/overages or damages with any deliveries or returns
- Ability to load/unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
- Organize and clean warehouse and yard
- Conduct scheduled inspections for tools and equipment

- Ability to recognize potential hazards and act appropriately
- Holds high regard for personal safety and safety of others

**QMS System**
- Participate, follow, and support all elements of Skyway Canada’s Quality Management System

**Work Conditions**
- Applicants that reside in the lower mainland will be given preference due to the location of our yard
- 5 days on / 2 days off shift rotation working 8 hours per day (shift commencing on a Monday)
- work will be primarily outdoors in all weather conditions

**Required Experience**
- Previous experience working in a formwork / shoring yard
- knowledge of formwork, shoring and scaffold equipment
- forklift experience with a valid ticket
- must have a valid driver’s license with a clear driving abstract

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
