WANSTEAD FARMERS CO-OPERATIVE is looking for Seasonal Truck Drivers to join our team in both the Wanstead and Alvinston branches. The position, which requires a valid DZ license, will involve delivering agriculture products and services to farm producers in our region as well as performing general labour tasks.

**DUTIES INCLUDE**:
Provide exceptional customer service.
**Yard** duties are to keep the elevator and yard moving efficiently by filling the needs presented by our growers. The **Yard** is required to quickly adjust to changing situations, and conditions. Safety of staff, and growers is key in ever day operations. All health and Safety policies are always expected to be observed and followed.

Day to day requirements change in each season as followed:
Fertilizer
- Loading bays with incoming product, being able to efficiently use limited space to maximum capacities
- Loading both tender trucks, and spreader wagons using the loader and blender.
- Blender maintenance including greasing, and upkeep of conveyor, as well as site cleanup for fallen product
- Delivery of fertilizer, and spreader wagons to grower, which includes setting spreaders, assisting with break downs when needed
- Thorough record keeping regarding completed blends, as well as deliveries
- When the weather permits, the same fertilizer needs as the spring occur in the fall

Grain Receiving
- Responsible for the receiving and storage of all grain delivered throughout the harvest seasons
- Monitoring grain drying process - at high times requires long hours of monitoring moistures, and quality of finished product.
- High level of communication needed to adapt to unforeseen circumstances

**General Note -**Most task involve work outdoors in various weather conditions, walking and some heavy lifting. Physical effort is required throughout the year with extended hours.
Perform manual labour tasks such as the handling of feed, seeds, fertilizer and grain as well as some inventory duties and general maintenance.
Understand and follow Wanstead Farmers Co-Operative health and safety policies and guidelines.

**REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION**

Organization and interpersonal skills
physical activity required including loading/unloading trucks
ability to work weekends and evenings when necessary
an agricultural background is preferred but not necessary
