Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, the incumbent provides financial, administrative and analytical support to the programs, special projects and contract activity for the Perth Campus of Algonquin College.
The incumbent assists the Manager, Administrative Services with the coordination and development of the operating/capital budget, quarterly budget review, and year-end budget process and is also involved in capital equipment acquisition, accounts payable and receivable and providing financial and operational reports to meet the information needs of Management. The incumbent ensures that all accounting processes adhere to general accounting principles, the College’s polices and directives as well as the Broader Public Sector Directives. The incumbent is responsible for all time keeper duties, including onboarding, validating time entries and day to day Workday support to the Campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Administrative Support;- Administration of OTFT Employees;- Budget Planning and Review;- Other Duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) year diploma or equivalent, in Business Administration or equivalents such as Accounting or Finance;- Minimum of three (3) years experience progressively responsible business/ budgetary administration experience, preferably at a post secondary institution;- Experience in working in an academic department with multiple levels of responsibility to faculty, student and the community;- Experience with the College processes for course loading, SWF’s, enrolment projections, financial year end, fixed assets, annual budget process and quarterly reviews and program costing;- Experience in working with the College Financial/Human Resources/ Payroll and Student Information Systems.
