**Overview**
The Excavator Operator is essential to our construction and excavation projects, responsible for operating heavy machinery to move earth and other materials. This position is ideal for an individual with a high level of skill in operating excavators and a commitment to safety and precision. The Excavator Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of projects by efficiently and accurately performing excavation tasks. We are looking for a diligent and skilled operator who can contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality construction and excavation services.**Responsibilities**
- Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate excavators to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, and other materials on construction sites.
- Site Preparation: Prepare and maintain work areas by removing debris, leveling the ground, and creating trenches or foundations as needed for construction projects.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on excavators to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others on the job site.
- Precision Work: Execute excavation tasks with a high degree of accuracy, following project specifications and engineering plans to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Communication: Coordinate with site supervisors, other equipment operators, and construction personnel to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours of operation, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered during operation.
**Education and Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED: Essential educational requirement, demonstrating foundational skills in mathematics, reading, and writing.
- Technical Training: Completion of vocational training or certification in heavy equipment operation, particularly excavators, is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators in a construction or excavation setting, with a proven track record of safety and efficiency.
