Architectural Technician

Work as a member of the design team to develop project concepts and bring forward innovative, cost-effective solutions and alternatives.
- Develop preliminary plans for distribution to sub-contractors for accurate estimates.
- Assist with quantity take offs and site analysis for cost estimates.
- Participate in the production of construction drawings for design build projects.
- Perform preliminary code analysis for planning of new projects.
- Produce high quality detail drawings to ensure accuracy and quality control through the construction process.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical drawings to ensure conformity.

We are looking for an individual with the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks while working in a team environment. Attention to detail and accuracy, planning and organization, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to be successful in this position.
- Must be a graduate from a recognized Architectural Technologist Program.
- Speed, accuracy and proficiency in software including AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office.
- Knowledge of current codes and standards is an asset
- Construction experience is not a prerequisite, but is considered an asset
- Excellentoral and written communication skills
