Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling our products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products
- Ensure customers are aware of sales upon entry to the store
- Provide accurate information about product specifications, pricing, and availability
- Assist customers with their purchasing decisions and process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging displays
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning routines
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred
- Previous experience in the liquor industry is preferred
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and provide exceptional service
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Knowledge of technical sales is an advantage
- Professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling required
- Lifting to 23 kg (50lbs)
- Standing for extended periods
