**ABOUT US**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Pipelayer will be responsible for effectively delivering the civil portion of the project to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc achieves their general and specific project requirements.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Install and repair underground pipelines for water, sewer, and drainage systems
- Cut, lay, align, and cover pipes for storm and/or sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Previous experience as a pipelayer is a must.
- Experience in large bore RCP pipe, must be able to grade pipe and backfill as required
- Slide rail trench box experience is an asset
- Experience with excavation and backfill techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of grades, slopes and how to use pipe laser

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

5/2 shift

**Salary**: $31.65-$35.90 per hour

- pipelaying: 1 year (preferred)
- Slide rail trench box: 1 year (preferred)
