**Harvesting Administrator**

**Location**: Edmonton Head Office (Working in-office)

**Closing Date**:April 16, 2023

**Position Status**: Full Time (40 hrs per week)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Duties required of this position:

- Enter all telephone inquiries into the database using the appropriate data entry screens for tracking purposes and client maintenance information.
- Ensure all files are complete. Follow-up with applicants and request supporting documents as needed.
- Prepare files for quality assurance and harvesting card authorization.
- Responsible for administrative duties for Harvesting related meetings.
- Internal reporting of statistical information.
- Assess problematic cases and report to immediate supervisor.
- Attending internal meetings and taking meeting minutes.
- Willingness to learn all aspects of harvesting (hunting, fishing, trapping in Alberta).
- Other harvesting related duties as required.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to use google docs and forms.
- Meticulous records maintenance skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong sense of initiative.
- Exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to remain organized, multi-task and time manage.
- Ability to handle conflict and problem solve.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, interpret, and convey information and opinions to appropriate staff.
- Knowledge of Métis history, culture, and people.
- Promote an inclusive environment exemplified by understanding the Métis culture.
- Demonstrate professional standards of conduct when governing interactions with citizens.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Harvesting (hunting, fishing, and trapping in Alberta).
- Knowledge of the existing Métis Nation of Alberta Harvesting Agreement & Policy.
- Clear understanding of the Métis Nation of Alberta as well as knowledge of Métis history and culture.

**Other Requirements**
- Ability to work office hours of Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Availability to travel within Alberta.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid class 5 drivers’ license
