Alex Food Service is seeking a Supply Chain professional who is in charge of every stage of an organization’s supply chain, from Purchasing to Logistics. They must ensure that the product comes at just the right time and coordinate storage for it, so nothing goes missing or gets damaged along this complex process. Their duties also include outlining monthly and quarterly quotas, improving the efficiency of supply operations, and managing correspondence and contact with suppliers.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead procurement, sourcing, transportation, and other assigned groups that constitute the supply chain organization
- Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
- Improve physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
- Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as operations, sales, marketing, finance and quality assurance.
- Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Analyze customer demand, sales forecast and historical material usage to develop and execute build to order demand and prepare material forecasts and metrics to align material receipts/management with project & customer requirements.
- Achieve financial objectives working with management to prepare the materials budget, material forecasts, material receipt schedules, scheduled expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions with suppliers.
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost, OTD and quality.
- Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service, e.g., vendor managed inventory opportunities
- Monitor and communicate supplier performance for suppliers at all segment levels.
- Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for project sourcing planning to support customer demand.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support purchasing and material control.
- Participate as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
- Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.

**Requirements**:

- FOOD DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE/ FOOD SERVICE COMPANY
- At least 3 year’s Canadian work experience in Supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or other related discipline
- Previous Supply Chain and Operational Excellence experience
- Ability to liaise/communicate effectively and easily with cross-functional teams and different cultures

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
