Burlington, Canada Nai Restaurant Full time

Nai Restaurant is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team in Burlington, ON who will be responsible for the following duties:

- Organize accounting records such as registers, ledgers, journals, and individual account
- Evaluate and reconcile diverse financial operations, inspect and confirm sources documents, including invoices and expense vouchers, to affirm commitments and post suitable records
- Manage financial statements and reports
- Organize source documents, files and other account affiliated information
- Organize all routine registers
- Perform proper maintenance of all end-of-the-year records
- Carry out job duties on spreadsheets, online database, and all accounting software
- Supervise invoices and keep all contract-filing system up to date; and carry out audits with the organization
- Organize all journal entries, perform analysis on account records and conciliate all statements for month ending
- Organize appropriate list of fixed assets for remittance of taxes and preparation of budget
- Perform analysis of accounting systems, observe any flaws, and give suggestions for improvement
- Reassess all check requests and supervise all invoices for precision.

**Job requirements**:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

**Required Skills/Qualifications**:

- At least 7 years of experience as an Accounting Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Skilled in performing mathematical processes;
- Possession of attributes of patience and flexibility to adjust in diverse business environment
- Commendable skills in general bookkeeping procedures or principles
- Excellent knowledge of payroll systems, accounts payable, and general accounting ledger
- At least 5 years of prior experience in utilization of spreadsheets, word processing, and in the detection of error/amendments
- Strong background in accounting principles, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines

**Terms**:
Permanent, full-time position for 40 hours per week.

Salary - $28.45 per hour (or $59,176 annually).

**Benefits**:
Health insurance that covers emergency medical care, for any period during which the employee isn't covered by the applicable provincial/territorial health insurance system (OHIP)

**Job location**: hybrid - 3 days per week from home and 2 days per week reporting to the office (Nai restaurant)
