**Job Description**:
**Requirements**:

- College diploma/ certificate in architectural technology, architectural technician, construction technology, or vocational diploma in technical drafting.
- Professional experience in the Design/Architectural/Construction industry, with at least two (2) years of prior residential or commercial detailing experience using AutoCAD.
- Reading and comprehension of architectural drawings
- Experience in 3D rendering and Autodesk Inventor experience would be an asset.
- Experience and understanding of AutoCAD workflows (drawing creation, Xrefs, page setups, etc.) and of Revit workflows (View/Sheet setup, Phasing, View Templates, etc.)
- Proficient with programs such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Effective and professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work effectively while dealing with challenges and/or tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work on several projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in various types of steel and concrete construction methodologies.
- Knowledge of project management is an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create, implement, and maintain company standards for AutoCAD drawings, using best practices.
- Set up AutoCAD drawings as per the company’s standard.
- Preparation of accurate and concise AutoCAD drawings from sketches, mark-ups and/or design.
- Organizing, planning and inspecting project drawings that are assigned.
- Analyze architectural and structural plans, engineering plans, and technical data to determine the optimal design factors such as clearances, tolerances, locations, angles, and layouts.
- Preparation of accurate, concise shop drawings incorporating various items into design and layouts, coordinate design documents for consistency.
- Liaison with engineers and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Resolving comments and revisions on submitted drawings and communication with customers.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable building code and bylaws.
- Completing materials take-offs from drawings.
- Work autonomously and direct your work, while collaborating with a team of professionals.
- Continuously work on improving efficiency and automation for all role related responsibilities.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am - 4:30pm
- In office position, with the possibility of hybrid work from home based on performance.
