**Position Summary**:
To perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will maintain equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.

**Requirements**:

- Paid or unpaid experience working with vulnerable individuals.

**- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check is required.**
- Living Space has a Vaccination Policy that requires employees to take part in COVID-19 vaccination programs recommended by Public Health and provide an up-to-date TB screening record.

**Core Competencies**:

- Experience working in a maintenance a field.
- Effective analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in community settings with mínimal supervision.
- Proven effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated strong sense of initiative, personal accountability, and dependability.

**Specific Duties**:

- Communicating with Supervisors.
- Sweeping & Moping Flooring.
- Wiping, Disinfecting and Dusting various surfaces.
- Restocking of Supplies; Paper Towel, Toilet Paper, Soap, & anything needed.
- Vacuuming: Carpet, Runners, Regular Maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Assist with all required repairs and maintenance work.
- Perform handyman work including but not limited to, basic repairs and maintenance, painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing repair, eaves trough cleaning and repair, gate and fence work, door and door assembly work, window repair, parking area cleaning and repair, furniture assembly, and other similar work as necessary.
- Assist in moving furniture and equipment in the workplace.
- Remove debris and abandoned goods from the property and coordinate with managers for trash pick-up from job site when needed.
- Complete shelter housekeeping including laundry for bedding.
- Complete washroom and shower safety checks, clean and sanitize according to Living Space policy and procedure.
- Ensure the safety of Living Space property by completing routine patrols and safety checks of the interior and exterior building.
- Notify the Health & Safety committee of any concerns in a timely manner.
- Performs additional duties as required and requested by immediate supervisor.
