Lactation Consultant

The WOMB (World of my Baby) Vaughan is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, integrative health centre specifically focused on pre & post-natal care as well as babies and families. We are a full service clinic providing reception and admin 6 days / week, furnished treatment rooms, and a warm and nurturing team environment.

We are currently seeking a Lactation Consultant to join our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess and document maternal and infant health and infant feeding goals
- Provide infant feeding education and counselling to healthcare providers, families, and the community
- Identify and refer clients to other applicable WOMB practitioners (ie. Osteopathy)
- Teach infant feeding classes and workshops (ie. The WOMB’s infant feeding cafe and prenatal breastfeeding class)
- Develop and maintain up to date infant feeding practices

**Qualifications**:

- IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) certification
- Three to five years of clinical experience in lactation or breastfeeding
- Knowledge of current infant feeding research and evidence-based practice
- BIF Training
- Excellent teaching, communication, and counselling skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $75.00-$150.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 10 per week
