**Description**- Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the
- **Summer Librarian** provides appropriate educational programming,
- **for children aged 2-13 years old, **within an inclusive learning environment within the community of Little Burgundy. They will display positive leadership and work as part of the management team for the overall growth and well-being of the organisation and community.
- **Duties and Responsibilities***:**_Early Childhood and Youth Duties_**:

- Plan and schedule weekly story time at Tyndale or in an outdoor setting with local CPE daycares, home daycares and families
- Plan and schedule weekly library activities for Summer Day Camp and drop-in programs at Tyndale or in an outdoor setting
- Create and maintain partnerships with local daycares, external activity organizers and families
- Order new books according to the needs of the participants and current trends, with special attention to diverse character representation

**_Administrative Duties_**:

- Maintain records for Library (statistics and metrics)
- Develop publicity, social media and outreach promotional materials
- Maintain and facilitate the large book collection on the circulation system Libib
- Add new memberships: provide library orientation for new members, enter membership information into library system
- Follow-up with books past their return date
- Maintain a library budget while purchasing supplies and new materials when necessary

**Qualifications****:

- CEGEP Diploma in a related filed or relevant experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in child animation and program planning
- Experience working with ethno-cultural communities an asset
- Experience in developing and maintaining professional partnerships and networks
- Ability to communicate in English and French (spoken and written)

**Job Conditions**
- **Duration of contract**:June 19th to August 25th
- **Terms of Employment**:Full-time contract, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday; schedules will vary from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m. for an 8-hour shift)****:
