Thorndale, Canada McCutcheon Farm Drainage Ltd. Full time

Overview:
We are looking for a hard-working and reliable individual to join our team as a General Laborer.

McCutcheon Farm Drainage installs sub-surface agricultural drainage tile in farms across Middlesex, Oxford and Perth Counties. Work happens year-round, weather permitting. The General Laborer is responsible for providing support to the Backhoe Operators. Previous experience working around Heavy Equipment an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in tandem with the Backhoe Operators on making tile connections in trenches.
- When weather co-operates, expect a 50-hr work week. When poor weather occurs, some hours will be offered in the shop with miscellaneous jobs.
- 7am start time, Monday - Friday. Some Saturday hours may be available in the busiest seasons, but are not mandatory.
- Transportation to the job site from the shop is provided.
- Probation period is 6 months long, after which you are eligible for benefits and RRSP matching. Profit sharing is available after completing one full construction year (March through February).

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in all sorts of weather

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 55 per week
