Radius Community Health & Healing provides interdisciplinary, team based, integrated, comprehensive, and person-centered primary health care for vulnerable Edmontonians with complex needs.

The Licensed Practical Nurse for the Radius Community Health and Healing’s Respite to Recovery (R2R) program (in collaboration with a partnering shelter), which serves individuals experiencing homelessness who are ill, but medically stable enough to temporarily convalesce in a shelter/transitional housing setting with medical supports.
- Key Responsibilities_
- Support individuals as they recover from acute illness or injury.
- Facilitate connections to community social supports and ongoing primary health care services through health assessments, medical treatment, and referrals.
- Provide education on harm reduction practices and disease prevention while promoting healthy lifestyle choices within the context of individuals’ health needs and practices.
- General nursing duties such as: wound care and footcare, assessment and triage, immunizations, specimen collection, medication administration, overdose response and prevention, care coordination, health education, client advocacy.
- Assisting providers when required.
- Work co-operatively with partnering shelter’s staff and management while following the partnering shelter’s guidelines and policies.

Qualifications_**
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program
- Active registration in good standing with CLPNA
- Experience working with marginalized populations.
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Current CPR certification
